Misamis Occidental PADAC strengthened with the support from DDB

Oroquieta City – The Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council (PADAC)of Misamis Occidental will know be strengthen in its implementation after the government’s Dangerous Drug Board  (DDB) has committed to fully support the program of Misamis Occidental to curbed out and ultimately solved the illegal drug and substances proliferation problem.

With the visit of Assistant Secretary for Operations, Dr. Benjamin Reyes of the Dangerous Drug Board today, Dr. Reyes together with the members of the Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council led by Chairman, Governor Herminia Ramiro gathered to plan out program to be implemented this year.

Governor Ramiro with her program GO HERMIE Agenda which prioritizes the anti drug campaign last year strongly re-organized the Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council and locally supported the City, Municipal and Barangay Anti Drug Abuse Council of the three cities and 14 municipalities of Misamis Occidental to support the province goal in stopping the proliferation of illegal drugs and other substances pursuant to Republic Act 9165.

With the PNP Lambat Sibat operations, the Provincial Government has coordinated with the local police under the management and support from the Misamis Occidental PNP Police Office and the Provincial Satellite Drug Enforcement Team of the PDEA to go hand in hand in the Anti illegal Drug campaign.

It may be recalled that, with the anti illegal drug abuse campaign, Congressman Henry Oaminal of the 2nd District also activated and with the support from local chief executives of his District organized the District Anti Drug Abuse Council with the congressional initiative funds and support.

The District Anti Drug Abuse Council (DADAC) comprises the cities of Ozamiz and Tangub and the municipalities of Bonifacio, Don Victoriano, Clarin, Tudela and Sinacaban. With the Bag-ong Ozamiznon Agenda, City Mayor Reynaldo “Kuya Aldong” Parojinog has promised to curb out illegal drug proliferation within his city.

On his part as the provincial governor, Ramiro reaffirms that with her iron hand implementation of the Anti Illegal Drug Abuse campaign and the support of all Misamisnons, the proliferation will be stop and neutralized, and with the support from the Dangerous Drug Board, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the local police and other law enforcers, Misamisnons at the end of her term will be a illegal drug-free province.

Meanwhile, Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Leony Roy Ga who had a close door meeting with DDB ASEC for Operations Dr. Benjamin Reyes, and the Governor Herminia Ramiro told Mindanao Daily News,  that with the full support of the provincial government, the police has no reason to be not in their best position and accomplish its mission and goals to protect the lives and properties of Misamisnons, particularly against crimes committed by individuals and group because of Illegal Drugs.
